As this time of year brings us colder weather, it seems to warm our souls with fond memories of family, fun, and festivities. However, for some, this time of year brings reminders of the coldness they feel due to grief and sorrow. Let us remember those who are hurting during this season as well. There are children who will not be able to attend a Thanksgiving meal at their parents house anymore, or perhaps a mother, who will not have her son/daughter come by for Christmas this year. As seasons change, so do the chapters of our lives.
Let us remember that through it all, GOD is faithful and strong. His grace will truly be sufficient for all that you need. Please know that you are loved, cared for, and that you are not alone. God, our father, wraps you in His arms today, and reaches out to care for you every need!
Be blessed!

Family Communion
Family Communion is so important. We do it occasionally at the Sturgill home, and it helps.
Which reminds me: I need to do that again!
Each Thanksgiving, we move our mid-week service up one night, as we realize that Mom's and Dad's
are getting ready for family festivities on Wednesday's as well, so on Tuesday night, we come to together for a time of Family Communion with the Pastor and his family. About 20 people at a time are brought up, for a more personal intimate time with Pastor and Sis. Sturgill, and YOUR family. We share a few minutes among the family, sharing what we are thankful for, and then partake of communion together.
Worship and Thanksgiving fills the atmosphere and a special tenderness has been experienced by many that is hard to replicate. Don't forget that special time! Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. See ya there!

Leadership and Workers Banquet
I want to thank everyone that attend the banquet last night, November 11, 2010. Not only was it Veterans Day for our nation, but an appreciation day for the Soldiers in God's Army as well.
Thank you, to my wife, for delivering a passionate address and reminder about why we do, the things we do. Do You Love Jesus? Loving Jesus Christ is our fuel to be empowered, challenged, and to overcome, in every situation! Thank you to Sis. Shannon and Lisa Vallejo for setting up this wonderful time together. I want to say thanks also, to Inklings bookstore, (A LOCAL BUSINESS) for supporting us in honoring our workers with a $5.00 gift card for each participant: about 110 of you! Thanks to Inklings for extending a special discount to us for purchasing them in quantity. Get out there and purchase something that will feed your spirit man, or decorate your home with the Love of God.

TODAY
"This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!"
Great verse in scripture, but easier sad than done. While the just shall 'live by faith', it's easier to hope than to see. The difference in the quality of our lives is predicated upon the passages we find within Hebrews 11.
The evidence of things that are seen, are not seen by my physical eyes, but rather, through our Spiritual eyes.
That's so powerful and wonderful, until the image in your earthen eyes cannot be overpowered by your Spiritual eyes.
What glass are you looking through? The one that is half-full or half-empty? That might help us determine where our filter of sight is coming from, and which one that we are looking through.
